Oscari is a nonprofit organisation that help support members of the local community by providing q food bank, complete shower room/restroom, social activities, a community tumble wash, social eating cafe, kids club and many fun themed event evenings. We are trying to breakdown barriers ,prevent period poverty, aim for a zero to landfill food ethos, prevent and reduce social isolation,food deprivation and loneliness

Salcare is a charity and a community ‘one-stop shop’ supporting those in need, including people referred to us by social services, the police or domestic abuse services and job centres. The last few years have been tough for our communities, with changes like the bedroom tax, and cuts to to council tax and benefits increasing the number of people who need help. More than ever, people need support with basic needs, and often a place of sanctuary to which they can escape. In Heanor, that place is Salcare - a vital lifeline for many families and individuals. We own our building but it needs some TLC - we need help with decorating, cleaning and refurbishment to spruce up our reception area, shop and furniture warehouse, and bring them up to date.
