Diversify Education and Communities CIC is all about promoting cultural diversity and inclusion in schools, businesses and the community. We promote cultural diversity and inclusion through a range of exciting resources, training workshops as well as support/signposting for those persons affected by racism or discrimination. We also provide a hot meals and food parcel distribution to persons in need within the Nottingham city area.

We are a non-profit Community Investment Company based in Shirebrook, near Mansfield Nottinghamshire. Our group is volunteer led involving a range of people that live in and around Shirebrook.. Our aim is to improve the local community and surrounding areas by creating the conditions that allow people to come together to help and support one another. We support some of the most disadvantaged families in Shirebrook via our food projects and also pass on household items to people in need. We run a Community Fridge - which is based in our community venue called The Hole in the Wall. All our food donations go into here and get shared out during our open sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. This is open to all. Please call in if you haven't already :) We also run a variety of activities and events throughput the year too, as well as our regular crafty chat group on Mondays, tea & toast group on Tuesdays and our art group on Fridays. All profits are invested back into both pre-existing and new initiatives. We have further ambitions to deliver on wider, community-based initiatives, that are derived from extensive research and have been co-designed with the local community, service partners and local businesses alike. Our centre opens 4 days a week and offers support to all of our local community, and is available to anyone without the need for a referral. We work tirelessly to tackle food waste and provide food, non food items, support and access to services to all. We offer surplus food, free of any charges (membership fees etc) to ANYONE within the community and aim to support those most in need. Hot meals are supplied 3 days a week and non perishable emergency food parcels are provided to those in need and we NEVER ASK QUESTIONS... Our goal is simple: 1. To tackle food waste 2. To ensure that EVERYONE has what they need Our services are available to the whole community without prejudice and we are committed to helping those in need- regardless of circumstance. We are a fully inclusive centre and pride ourselves on equality. We are fully volunteer run and have an amazing team on hand, ready and willing to do everything possible to provide help, support and safety for all
