How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

To improve the Health and Well-being of East Staffordshire District families

East Staffordshire District, UK

East Staffordshire Family Hub is the central hub for delivering early years services throughout the East Staffordshire District. Our aim is to improve outcomes for young children and their families with a particular focus on the most disadvantaged families, in order to reduce inequalities and improve children's outcomes. We deliver various sessions at the hub and within the local community to ensure families feel supported by professionals and members of their own community. The aim of these groups is to ensure young children get the best start in life and that their families are supported to help them achieve this. Family Hubs are designed to serve the local community. We have a range of community run groups that support families in the community such as, grandparents, children with additional needs, stay and plays, child-minders, parenting program's, twins, breastfeeding..... we are hoping to support these children and their families by offering refreshments which introduce healthy food options to them. The aim of this is to educate and support families to make healthy choices for their children and instilling an ethos of good eating equals healthy lifestyles. We also wish to support those families that are at risk throughout the school holidays who may fall victim to holiday hunger by offering a lunch prepared by our supportive volunteers. This may also lead into identifying additional support we can offer to these families to improve their circumstances and ultimate outcomes.

Ashbourne Foodbank

Ashbourne, UK

We are a foodbank charity covering the Ashbourne and local village areas. We rely on donations to support people and families through tough financial times. We offer an ear and practical help as well as food support. We have been here since 2011 and seen a steady increase in clients. During the last 18 months our clients have quadrupled in number. Yet we continued to distribute food support twice a week and are continually grateful and overwhelmed with the donations from local residents and businesses.
