ALDI HULL - HENRY BOOT WAY

Hull Minster is situated in the heart of Hull's Old Town. Until 2017, it was the largest Anglican parish church in the country. The building houses a vibrant Christian community but is also the main civic church in the city and an important cultural and historical centre. As part of our work in the community, all who pass through our doors are invited to take succour from the food we distribute, especially in these troubled times. As it grows, we hope to provide a regular source of sustenance for the local homeless, those living in our parish of Great Thornton Estate, and further afield. In the medium term, we will transform fresh food into meals that can be served or safely packaged and sent on.

To benefit the residents of Hull by providing activities and facilities in the interests of social welfare, relief of poverty and social inclusion with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents and advancing the Christian faith.

Cooperation Humber is a community food co-op based in Barton upon Humber. We are a non-profit membership group that offers its members quality groceries by sourcing and distributing food which would have otherwise been wasted. We charge a low weekly price, only to cover costs. The co-op is owned and organised by its members, who together decide if/and we buy in bulk on behalf of the members, and how to run the project. It is a non-profit collective, set up to meet members’ needs and is entirely controlled by the people who join it.
