How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Sleaford New Life Community Impact

Sleaford, UK

All our activities come under the New Life Church Ministries (Sleaford) charity. It is our wish to support any organisation and supermarkets that uses the Neighbourly platform to reduce food waste. Food is then provided in many ways across our locations and activities. We value the support from our partners. Sleaford New Life Community Impact run many activities under our charitable umbrella. These include our Food Bank, Seniors Meals provision, Community Table, and more. We also operate some sub-trading activities like our Community Grocery, Community Coffee Shop, and Conference Centre, some of which have pay-it-forward options. All profits are reinvested in sustaining charitable activities, serving our community, and supporting those who need help. We especially value additional items for our Community Larder, which is stocked entirely by donations from individuals, businesses, schools and churches who provide produce such as tins and packets, often through their harvest festival celebrations. These items create a central stock that is used in the food parcels, whilst financial donations enable us to provide milk, bread, essential toiletries and nappies. Any excess or surplus items are redistributed to other Community activities, to avoid food waste..
