Principal activities are: youth clubs (6-19 years) and work with disadvantaged young people befriending scheme and social activities for older people work clubs to address unemployment in the community provision of emergency food parcel community charity shopSocial Supermarket- a cheap place for people to do their food shop Community Shop- we sell clothes, furniture, white goods and much more! Older Peoples Lunch Club & Services- we serve them a 3 course meal and give them a range of activities to do in the company of others. Befriending Services- we give them a regular call to catch up and help loneliness Coats 4 Community- we give our free coats in the winter months to help families One Stop Support Shop- we work with Incommunities, West Yorkshire Police and Beacon Recovery and run a drop in session where local residents can pay us a visit and let us know any concerns they may have. Training Courses- we offer various training courses for the public (i.e First Aid) Youth Club- we run a young persons outreach session twice a week after school times

The Halifax Community Fridge, is open daily enabling residents and businesses to share surplus food and for anyone to help themselves to quality food that would otherwise be wasted. Unlike food banks, the Halifax Community Fridge is not means-tested - it is available to anyone. It is also discreetly situated and avoids any stigma its users may otherwise feel. The Halifax Community Fridge launched in August 2020, and has remained open every-single-day since. We are open 365-days-a-year, and are a lifeline for up to 100 families each day. No questions are asked, everyone is welcome. Working alongside Neighbourly has enabled us to support our towns local supermarkets in drastically reducing their carbon footprint and food wastage, which in-turn has stopped our community from going to sleep hungry. The work of the Halifax Community Fridge extends beyond free food and drink, everything we do is free to the community that we love to serve. We offer free winter coats, free sanitary packs for females, free pet food to owners and pets in need, free household items to support families in need and so much more We feature regularly in local and national media, showing the incredible work of the community fridge project and how it has brought our community together. In doing so, we have redistributed millions of items of food and drink back into our local community. Humanity First is a UK disaster relief charity serving in disasters across the world since 1995. In the UK it has been helping vulnerable people with food and psychosocial support including the homeless. With its partners it has served over 100,000 people by distributing and cooking food.
