At heart, SKT Welfare is a group of compassionate, honest and hard-working humanitarians. We believe that everyone - no matter their race, religion or gender - deserves a chance at a happy, fulfilling life. Over the past decade, we have provided urgent aid and sustainable relief to millions of disadvantaged people across the globe. Our projects focus on emergency relief, food, water, healthcare, education, orphan care and seasonal aid, such as winter emergency response and Qurbani donations. We serve some of the most vulnerable people in the world; those affected - through no fault of their own - by conflict, poverty and natural disasters. Our vision is for a world in which everyone is cared for, thrives, and is free from extreme poverty. As an Islamic charity, we are led by an unshakeable faith and a strong desire to help the most vulnerable, following in the footsteps of the Prophet (saw).

CGCC Food Bank have been operating since April 2020. We began work during the COVID pandemic and quickly identified that support was required in the local area. We are proudly supported by Calder Grove Cricket Club and are based at their premises. We deliver around 50 free of charge food parcels every week to families and individuals. Some refer directly to us but we encourage all in need to seek a referral from a professional agency so as to ensure wider support is available if needed. We receive most of our referrals this way.

We aim to help the community by collecting surplus food from supermarkets and sharing with the community. We also provide additional support to the most vulnerable in the form of toiletries, hygiene products etc. We have also introduced a voucher scheme with local shops so people can redeem a voucher for a certain amount and we aim to cover the cost. This helps both the service users and the local area.
