We serve the church, community and in extension the communities around the church too. As an organisation we operate in all categories of need but focus on feeding the needy in our community and giving those who need clothing and essentials to live. Those are two of the areas we operate in. Everybody in society benefits, be it the young or old. Focusing on those in need and focusing on those in our communities that needs the help the most. The RCCA operates majorly from Restoration House, Norham Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Shields NE29 7TN. Food supplies once collected are arranged and displayed in the dining hall at various times during the week, especially on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for members and non-members to select from free of charge. Where individuals or family are unable to collect products, due to caring responsibilities or access to transportation, we operate a volunteering community group who pick up items and drop these at the doorstep of the family/individual free of charge. There are designated members of the charity whose responsibility is to constantly liaise with the wider members of the charity community to identify their needs. The community then regularly feeds back their needs to these persons. By the middle of the week, all information received is then collated and analysed. Users who have confirmed their specific needs are first prioritised, after which the rest of the supplies are declared open for the rest of the members who may not have previously indicated any specific needs. Various times during the week, notifications are sent to all registered members of the community as soon as food supplies from neighbourly are available to be picked up. This notification is sent via text messages and sometimes (especially during Christmas) broadcasted through WhatsApp where there is need for prompt pick up before public holiday and closure of the pick-up venue. The RCCA also operates a community centre which opens twice a month for users in need of clothing, shoes, bags, household appliances, books, diapers, toiletries, etc. The items at the centre are donated by members and non-members and are made available to anyone in need of these for free. The RCCA Health Clinic operates once a month from where UK licensed medical professionals provide free health checkups, and consultations for interested service users. Where concerns are raised from the check-up i.e. high blood pressure or high glucose levels, recommendations such as getting appointment with the GP Our needs are as below: -Food support -Clothing and Shoes -Household items to support those struggling to afford the basics Below are some of the other activities we do to help and support the communities: - General charitable purposes - Religious activities - Children/young people - Elderly/old people - The general public/mankind - Provides buildings/facilities/open space - Provides services - Provides advocacy/advice/information - Student package

Looprun is a response division and part of an independent social enterprise. This is more than food and is part of a supportive services platform to help people get sustained in their own individual way. With up to 94% success rate and seeing once those receiving free Looprun response bags to returning to stores as shoppers with baskets full. These are the impact stories created when all come together to do good for good. Service users are signposted to Looprun mostly from referrals including professionals in social and healthcare. Looprun provides free non perishables, perishable food, toiletries, and brand new clothing to people facing a temporary challenge. Whatever supermarkets, stores, and retailers can do is turned into a grateful donation to a neighbour in need. This is a response to real people in real-time. No food is banked providing a direct in and out service. We believe if the food is stored then a person in need is not getting any food, hence we provide an instant response and instant impact service. Looprun has access to professional volunteers who carry out a confidential support service to people in need. From homeless shelters, hostels, sheltered housing, care homes, soup kitchens and schools. This is a non voucher, free and confidential service. This means Looprun can reach more people in need with food donations. Anyone that receives a Looprun bag of essential food items is sustained thus creating a loop cycle. - Education/Training - The prevention or relief of poverty - Children/young people - Provides services - Provides advocacy/advice/information - Referred from Youth Offending Children’s Services/self-referral Barnardo’s food bank donations are distributed to any of our learners that require meals, I.E our donations may be used for lunches or food bags given to pour leamers as we have young independent learners that can-not afford to buy food, so we make sure they are well stocked up. We are based at Barnardo’s ETS North, Hudson Street, North Shields, The & Wear, NE30 1DL, all of our food is distributed form this point. Our Employment Training and Skills (ETS) courses provide young people with skills and qualifications they can build on and develop throughout their working life. In partnership with employers, schools, colleges and charities, we train and support over 3,000 young people every year through 20 specialist centres. We provide courses, support and careers advice, whether you’re interested in construction qualifications or a hairdressing apprenticeship. If you’re a young person looking to enter employment, we work with you on an individual basis to find the best training and employment opportunities in your area, and then, once you are in training or work, we give them ongoing support to make sure it’s all working out for you. From help with application forms to interview techniques, Barnardo’s is there to offer support every step of the way, as well as providing specific qualifications, employability skills, and career information, advice and guidance, we also offer apprenticeship programmes and other qualifications recognised by employers.
