How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Neighbourly food is distributed to individuals and families in need. One person collects food from the designated store then a group of volunteers do the distribution. There is no definite schedule of who gets what so that people do not become dependent on donations but receive what is offered when it is available as an extra support. We sometimes work through other organisations, especially schools, who collect food from us to distribute to families they know who are in need.
