We provide: - friendship and food, 52 weeks of a year - 200 + 3 course hot meals served at the kitchen, 7 days a week - nearly new clothing and sleeping bags - shower facilities - "Your Futures" programme to help towards independent living - Social events, which help our friends combat loneliness and isolation as well as equipping them with important skills. We have over 200 volunteers who donate their time and with no staffing costs and no government grants, 82% of all donations go to supporting our clients.

Homeless drop/food bank

To give food hampers to families and single people who are having financial hardship or experiencing poverty and give information of any other organisations that can be of support to them. To open homeless drop in to feed, cloth and shelter homeless people and show them compassion. To support women who were victims of dosmetic violence and could not remain in the home and are being sheltered. Our project operate from 94 Blandford street, NE1 3BT. Newcastle. On a daily basis we see Seniors, single mothers, low-income workers, people on social assistance, and immigrants walk into our church food bank for assistance and food support which we have been giving them.. We provide free training and skills acquisitions empowerment seminar that will enable participants who are jobless to get back to work. We don't collect food from any other retailer. We don't involve the press in our activities because it comes at additional cost.

Embells Community Support Project Gateshead

Embells CIC is a community support project based in Gateshead helping to create a better everyday life for people and families in need in Gateshead. Providing a range of food, support and wellbeing service. Food Parcels Food Pantry Community Fridge Clothing Packs Baby & Children’s Essentials Advice & Signposting Wellbeing groups / activities We are based and operate from a community studio called the Onebodyforlife studio, based in the heart of the community. We are based from Various locations of Leam Lane but every Friday our community pantry runs from the studio 11.30am - 2pm. As we are based in the heart of the local community those clients that we support can self-refer and we also work alongside schools, local jobcentre and other local organisations who also refer clients to us for support. We can help support with food parcels, clothing and other essential items. We also provide 1-2-1 support and a range of wellbeing services. Throughout the school holidays we also provide Free family activities and food provisions. We provide a food pantry providing a bargain food bag worth £25 for just £4 and weekly pop-up market where preloved clothing and shoes can be purchased from £1. The money we raise comes directly back to the project so those that are struggling can access these food and clothing services for free. To prevent food waste, we want to work closely with local business and supermarkets to help to prevent good food going to landfill and getting to those people and families in our local communities who really need it.
