How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

St Pauls Infant School & Northborough Schools, Maidstone

Maidstone, UK

This project has been set up to support the families, carers and children of our schools (~1800 pupils), offering them access to food donations in a time of very high living costs. With the current cost of living being so high, some of our families find themselves in unsettling financial situations and our aim is to be able to support them by offering food parcels directly which are either collectable from our school offices or delivered directly to our families. We know that the only healthy meal our children have is the lunch offered at school and so in addition to the food parcels, we offer all additional surplus food to our entire school community. We do not charge any of our families or school community for the food that we provide and all collections and deliveries are undertaken by parents within this community We are very grateful for all the donations that we receive from supermarkets locally to us and we know that all our school community is exceptionally grateful for this provision that we offer!

Treetops Primary Academy

Maidstone, UK

Tree Tops Primary Academy is a successful primary school in Maidstone, Kent. The number of pupils attending the school is growing each year with nearly 300 children in attendance. Due to the lock-down, the nutritional well-being of our pupils has become an area that we would like to support. further. We would like the opportunity to gain the support of the Neighbourly support programme. This support programme will be very appreciated by the pupils, parents and will also make an impact on the wider community.
