Harrow Recreation Ground Steering Group (HRGSG)

The aims of HRGSG are: • to represent Member Organisations on Harrow Parks Forum • to serve as the park user group registered with Harrow Council, for example when Member Organisations apply to hold events in Harrow Recreation Ground • to work with Harrow Council and other partners to enhance the condition and facilities of Harrow Recreation Ground • to promote its appropriate and varied use by Harrow’s diverse community • to ensure that the interests of the local community, residents and users of Harrow Recreation Ground and its amenities are recognised and accommodated. Recently we have set up a Community Gardening Project with Build on Belief (who support recovering drug and alcohol addicts). This benefits the participants and also benefits Harrow Recreation Ground and other park users. The money we are granted will be used to buy gloves, litter pickers and gardening tools, to buy plants, to pay for contractors where essential (e.g. to take out some unwanted laurel), or to pay costs of volunteers.
