The Lullaby Trust is a charity that saves babies’ lives and supports bereaved families. Around 3 babies a week still die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and we are committed to bringing that number down to zero. Through educating parents on how they can reduce the risk of SIDS and investing over £12 million in research, we have played a key role in reducing the number of babies who die from SIDS by 82%, saving the lives of more than 29,000 babies. Each year we train thousands of health professionals to support parents in sleeping their baby safely. We campaign tirelessly to raise awareness of SIDS and ensure our life saving advice reaches all parents. The Lullaby Trust supports bereaved families, through our helpline and befriending scheme. Our work with the NHS to provide a Care of Next Infant Programme (CONI) offers a lifeline to bereaved families expecting a new baby.

Alzheimer's Society is Cadent's current charity partner, and is available for anyone worried about or affected by dementia. We provide information and support, and campaign for better quality of life for people with dementia and a greater understanding of the condition. We are also dedicated to defeating dementia through research. We fund research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, to improve treatment for people today, and search for a cure for tomorrow. Voluntary income from fundraising is essential to ensuring that we continue to provide and develop these local services and vital research. We demand a better future for everyone affected by all forms of dementia. With the help of our members and supporters, we campaign for change that will improve all aspects of care and support. Sepsis is a life threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs. Sepsis leads to shock, multiple organ failure and death especially if not recognized early and treated promptly. We are a UK based grassroots charity passionate about mending sepsis. Our core team are driven as they continue to work in hospitals while committing pro-bono to advancing the sepsis agenda. Learn more about what we do at UKST. At the UK Sepsis Trust, we recognise the scale and significance of the impact of severe sepsis on sufferers and their families. Although many patients return to a normal life, those who survive the condition may experience longstanding physical effects, and some suffer from psychological difficulties resulting from their prolonged illness.
