Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is a charity that cares for over 2,000 patients and their carers and families each year. We specialise in delivering holistic care for patients with progressive advanced conditions that are life limiting. Our care is delivered in the community in patient homes, in care or nursing homes or through its in-patient ward in the hospice; as well as through the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre, which offers wrap-around wellbeing services to all its patients and carers.

White Lodge is a local disability charity supporting people of all ages to live fulfilling, independent lives. We work alongside families and carers to support more than 2,500 people each year across Surrey and beyond. Our services are delivered from a two-acre site in Chertsey, across three specialist buildings, and are led by skilled, compassionate staff who enable people to reach their potential. It costs approximately £3.5 million a year to run White Lodge. As statutory funding does not fully cover these costs, donations and community support are essential in helping us maintain and develop our vital services.

The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £200 million for Macmillan. By 2020 almost 1 in 2 people will get cancer at some point in their lives, but you can help us be there for even more people affected by cancer. The fantastic fundraising efforts have enabled Macmillan to fund professional posts in local communities across the country from Macmillan Lung Clinical Nurse Specialists to Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advisors.
