Our foodbank was founded in 2011 and we have more than 40 agencies that refer into people into our emergency food provision. We serve approximately 50 families/individuals per week by providing generous food parcels containing fresh, bakery, chilled , cupboard and long-life foods that encourage a healthy and varied diet. We utilise Neighbourly and Fareshare to offer a varied selection of food and to reduce food waste. Each person collecting from the foodbank can have a free meal from Cafe Connect where we give out our food parcels. We also provide free functional Maths and English courses at the learner's pace every Friday, again with a free hot sandwich and drink. This covers entry level to level 2 and includes examination fees and certification. As part of building resilience and community, we also offer free CAP Money Skills and Life Skills courses. These courses help with all areas of budgeting, energy, relationships, nutrition and wellbeing. We have a strong and positive impact on our community, are well established and well known. We seek to feed families and bring hope throughout the Chorley Borough.

Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. It is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma. Our mission is to ensure everyone affected by sarcoma receives the best treatment, care, information and support available and to create the treatments of the future. Fundraising and donations help to drive awareness of sarcoma cancer so that ore people survive it. They also help researchers find answers through by funding their ground-breaking projects and provide information and support to anyone affected by sarcoma cancer so that everyone affected by sarcoma will have access to the best treatment and care.

The Lullaby Trust is a charity that saves babies’ lives and supports bereaved families. Around 3 babies a week still die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and we are committed to bringing that number down to zero. Through educating parents on how they can reduce the risk of SIDS and investing over £12 million in research, we have played a key role in reducing the number of babies who die from SIDS by 82%, saving the lives of more than 29,000 babies. Each year we train thousands of health professionals to support parents in sleeping their baby safely. We campaign tirelessly to raise awareness of SIDS and ensure our life saving advice reaches all parents. The Lullaby Trust supports bereaved families, through our helpline and befriending scheme. Our work with the NHS to provide a Care of Next Infant Programme (CONI) offers a lifeline to bereaved families expecting a new baby.
