Irish Wheelchair Association is one of Irelands leading representatives organisations and service providers for People with physical disabilities ranging from 6 years old to 89 years. We were founded on the belief that everyone should be able to live a life of choice and equality. In our Athlone day service Centre, we cater for various groups to include Young Adults, Active age for both male and female. Twice a week children with physical and sensory disabilities come together to participate in a range of activities. It is a place where families not only receive respite hours but bond and share information and advice with each other. The Sunshine Club receives NO HSE funding so relies on generosity of local fundingraising projects.

Esker House domestic abuse support services provide a range of services to women and children experiencing by domestic abuse. We have a 24 hour helpline and emergency refuge accommodation, support and advocacy service, court support service and children's service for people experiencing domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is the physical, emotional, sexual or mental abuse of one person by another within close, intimate or family relationship. In most situations the abuser uses a range of abusive behaviours to gain and ensure power and control over the other person and these abusive actions often get worse over time. We offer a safe space , a place to stay, advice, counselling advocacy and support.
