We provide a base for the community to meet and provide support and local resources. We deliver courses and activities that have been requested by the local users in conjunction with our many partnerships. Key services at the centre are our free Advice service and our Nursery which predominantly caters for children on 15 and 30 hours schemes. Activities running from the community centre at present range from yoga to read & write for beginners, kids clubs to teaching 55+ about tablets, smart phones and laptops. The community centre is also a link to affordable clothes, toys and food. This is offered through our seconds shack and our toy table, both always full of donations from people locally giving back. We accept food donations from Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Innchurches and Fairshare. These donations go towards preparing free food for our kids group, free food on Fridays scheme and any persons requiring a meal through the meal referred from Advice or our local Foodbank.

The Resurgam Trust is a membership organisation working across 6 communities in Lisburn seeking to improve the communitites from within and in partnership. Focusing on addressing the social determinants of health through early intervention, youth and community development programmes, training, education and learning, a focus on health improvement, peace and social justice initiatives and the creation of employment and volunteering opportunities. We have a comprehensive projects such as Resurgam Youth Initiative operating 6 days/nights per week including inclusion and outreach programmes; Resurgam Healthy Living Centre providing programmes on social prescribing with referrals from primary care, self referrals and holiday lunch clubs & cooking programmes; community safety programme including meals provision to those in need (disabled, Carers, hardship, older people, ill with covid/other conditions). We operate social enterprises providing employment and training including work placements for local people. We operate programmes to improve mental health of young people and adults in the community. We have opened (from July 22) the Resurgam Healthy Living Centre Community Fridge. We provide food donated from supermarkets or community partners/gardens to others within the community to reduce food waste.

Belfast And Lisburn Community Project is a nonpartisan organisation committed to preventing and ending homelessness in our community and to support family in need.. Our approach is tailored to the people and our community. Wherever we work, we do so with common values and the same respect for each person we meet. Our work ranges from providing safe shelter, accommodation, food and health services to helping people affected by homelessness receive the education, employment and social services they need. Our goal is Recycling, Ending Poverty Linked to homelessness and to empower people who face homelessness. Improving their quality of life and helping them stay off the streets for good.
