Every Thursday lunchtime, Sustenance's volunteers prepares and serves a nutritious three-course meal and a bag of grocery shopping to local people in Hastings and St Leonards experiencing food poverty. We prepare and cook the meals and fill shopping bags with quality surplus produce from local supermarkets and restaurants. We are passionate about reducing food waste, addressing food poverty, championing healthy eating and supporting the community. May 2021 till Jan 2026; 😃 handed out 10,181 full bags of shopping 😃 served 8807 three-course nutritious meals 😃 saved nearly 95.83 tonnes of surplus food from landfill 😃 saved 268+ tonnes of CO2 from going into the atmosphere

Education Futures Trust supports children, young people and families in Hastings and Rye to improve their life chances. The charity offers 1-1 therapeutic support, family keywork, courses for children, young people and vulnerable adults; expertise in outdoor learning, sport and youth work and the delivery of innovative practice in education. The charity works with its 21 member schools and with partners to share best practice and to promote partnership working in the area. EFT is currently developing a therapeutic, outdoor learning centre at its base, The Firs, in the deprived Baird ward, to support children, families and vulnerable adults. In April 2019, we were proud to be granted a 50 year lease for the land around our office, and we have recently been awarded European Regional Development Funding to create spaces for the delivery of enterprise and employability skills for vulnerable, unemployed adults: both are significant achievements. We are proud of our reputation to make a difference. The charity holds East Sussex's Women in Business Award for Contribution to the Community, whilst the appointment of the Chief Executive as the Chair of the Local Strategic Partnership and co-chair of the Town Deal Board demonstrates the regard in the town for the charity and its achievements.

We are Space for Yew CIC and we support neurodivergent families across Rother, East Sussex and surrounding areas. Our mission is to prevent isolation and enhance the wellbeing of neurodivergent people and families, we do this by offering a whole family approach. We launched in September 2024 and our current services include; Family stay, play and learn sessions for 0-8 year olds part of East Sussex County Council SEND Local Offer Nature provision rooted in wellbeing Parent/carer Coffee & Art mornings Parent/carer Social meet ups Wellbeing and social events for all ages We work collaboratively with organisations and professionals that support neurodivergent families and we have just been offered the lease on a council owned premises to create “Rother’s Neurodivergent Hub” This Hub will be the heart of the neurodivergent community, offering multi disciplinary services and events to meet all needs, ages and stages. It comes with a vast outdoor space which we would love to transform in to a Forest school, sensory garden and play area. We are in need of the following; 🎨 Children’s Arts & Crafts materials 🫖 Tea/Coffee, milk for all users of the hub 🍪 Snacks such as raisins, breadsticks and plain biscuits for the children Volunteers
