How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, B&Q has donated products and volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Fighting Hunger with Food Waste

Trowbridge, UK

We are a large volunteer based Charity operating across the Wiltshire area. Our volunteers use donated food to share with local families, individuals and organisations who are most in need. We are currently under pressure to meet the increasing need to help people who cannot afford food, whilst also experiencing a big decrease in the amount of food we receive due to less available food and many more people buying food from the reduced price sections. If you are a business with surplus food, would like to make a donation, volunteer or are in need of some food, please contact us.

We distribute surplus food to our families for free, helping to fill stomachs and reduce waste. Where needed we also supply pre-loved uniform, shoes etc. We are always looking for donations of wheeled things for play- suitcases, scooters, pushchairs and things to help us build dens- pallets, tyres, tubes. We can use most things!

Brighter Futures Counselling C.I.C.

Melksham, UK

Brighter Futures Counselling is a child and family counselling service dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families through emotional and mental health challenges. We provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore feelings, build resilience, and develop lifelong coping skills. A core part of our work is supporting children in care and care leavers, who often face unique challenges including trauma, loss, identity struggles, and transitions into independence. We understand the importance of offering stability, consistency, and trust, and our counselling helps these young people feel valued, supported, and empowered to create positive futures. At Brighter Futures Counselling, we are proud to offer free sessions for care leavers, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent them from accessing the support they need. For paying families, we provide services at an affordable set price, while sessions commissioned by local authorities are delivered through agreed funding arrangements. This flexible model ensures accessibility while maintaining high-quality, professional care. We use a range of age-appropriate therapies, from play-based approaches for children to talking therapies and practical strategies for young people and families. Our holistic approach includes working collaboratively with parents, schools, social workers, and professionals to strengthen the wider support network around each child. Our mission is to provide hope, guidance, and emotional support so that every child and young person—especially those who have faced adversity—has the tools and confidence to move forward towards a brighter future.
