LYN (Love Your Neighbour) are our community food boxes. We have one by Newcourt Community Centre and one within the grounds of Trinity Primary School. Some of the surplus food we receive from Neighbourly supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl and M&S) goes in to the boxes for members of the community to help themselves to in order to minimise food waste and in turn helping members of our community where they need it, for whatever reason. We have had great feedback from local residents and the school LYN is proving particularly popular for those bits that busy parents have run out of time or forgotten to get but can conveniently grab on the school run. Essentials bank is a non-profit organisation redistribute food and essentials to organisations, charities, schools, community groups, and individuals to support people in need and the homeless with life's essentials. Essentials Bank not just provide food but also toiletries, clothes and some specific things under request. Essentials bank provides socks, gloves, scarves, new underwares and hats. We also provide pet food (dogs, cats and other pets food under request). We have different kind of services: - Free of charge service. - Membership service with a small fee to keep our service sustainable, to cover operational costs such as: Warehouse space, freezers and chillers, Administration, vehicle maintenance and fuel. Essentials Bank was initially started on March 2020 covid time when people start losing their job and their house and they have faced difficulty to apply for universal credit and were struggling to get essentials like food, toiletries and etc. Donation Essentials Bank relies on the food donated by the public and food businesses – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to continue helping people in need. Our shopping priority list UHT Milk Tins of Meat Tins of Vegetables (sweet corn and peas) Tins of Soup Tins of Fruit Noodle and Pasta Cereals Jams and Spreads Coffee, Tea and Sugar Rice Pudding or Custer Tins of Tuna or mackerel Dog and Cat food We accept fresh, chilled or frozen food. We do also accept non-food items, including toiletries, and female sanitary items. we accept good quality clean clothing donation. So, If you are individual happy to drop off food or any essentials donations, please email us so we can arrange to collect. And, if you are a company, store, factory and would like to donate food or essentials please contact us. info@essentialsbank.org.uk We are volunteering our time providing the essentials for the happiness.

Nancy Potter House Community Hub C.I.C exists to improve the quality of life in our community by identifying gaps in provision, promoting mutual support, delivering direct support services and influencing practice in other public services. Nancy Potter House is a new, bright and contemporary venue in the heart of Topsham. The Hub is an accessable venue with dementia signage, Braille signage, portable hearing loops, baby changing and adult changing facilities, stoma-friendly toilets and a free water refill point. We run a community fridge, which is open most days. As we are located next to the school, so it's great for families. Our community cafe is open Monday-friday, and offers low cost meals and activities for all the community. During school holidays we often run free kids meals alongside activities. There is also a free-to-use cash machine, on-site launderette, wheelchair-friendly Wet Rooms, free Wi-Fi and a growing range of services and activities from Reflexology to Stroke rehabilitation, IT Training to Bounce and Rhyme, for all the community to enjoy. Nancy Potter House is on Nelson Close, just off Topsham High Street. This is on the 57 Stagecoach and T bus routes, and a ten-minute walk from Topsham Railway Station. Parking on site is limited. We have a disability drop-off point and disabled parking for two cars, with three more spaces available with a cycling rack.
