Mamas Bristol

Bristol, UK

Supporting families across the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas since March 2018 to reduce costs and save money, reduce waste and the amount that goes to landfill and finally, create a stronger community spirit. At Mamas Bristol, we believe in the power of community and collective action to create positive change. Our ethos is rooted in a multiple pronged approach; affordability, sustainability, and inclusivity across the community. Affordability: We are committed to supporting families by providing access to resources and solutions that reduce costs of living with and raising dependents. By offering practical guidance, we aim to alleviate financial pressures and empower families to thrive.  Sustainability: We recognise the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. That's why we promote and work towards sustainable practices & promote opportunities that minimise waste and environmental impact.  Community: At the heart of everything we do, is a strong sense of community. We believe in the strength of solidarity and collaboration to address common challenges and achieve shared goals. By fostering connections and building relationships, we create a support network where families can find solidarity, encouragement, and inspiration. We are more than just a Facebook group, an organisation or any one person - we are a movement. A movement dedicated to making a difference in the lives of families, our communities, and the world we share.

Feed the Homeless Bristol

Bristol, UK

This page allows Volunteers within Feed the Homeless Bristol to provide information on their availability to "Walk" on a particular night that the charity operates. The charity operates around central Bristol feeding the homeless people who look to our support for a hot meal, produce, fruit, snacks and a hot or cold drink. It allows the walkers to see fellow volunteers and what equipment may be needed that evening. Once a desired amount of volunteers has been reached, you may be added to the "reserve list" and if willing, contacted should circumstances change and someone has to drop out. Please red the guideline at the following link to give a better understanding and also Like and share our facebook page which is updated weekly. https://www.feedthehomeless.org.uk/walkguidelines/ https://www.facebook.com/fthBRISTOL/

Brentry Primary School

Bristol, UK

Brentry Primary School is a close knit community school in North Bristol. We support all our pupils by providing high quality classroom teaching but we also support all our pupils and families with additional support, as required, to ensure the best home environment possible for our pupils. The need for additional support has increased throughout the pandemic. We currently provide families with access to a free food shop twice a week, we deliver hampers to those that are in isolation or shielding, we provide clothes, toys and furniture as requested and access to either a laptop or paper format packs for the pupils to be able to continue learning. We are only able to provide this support due to the kind generosity of various organisations that we work with. However in the current climate we are looking to work with additional partners as our family needs have increased.
