How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, B&Q has donated products and volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Knebworth Primary and Nursery School

Knebworth, UK

For more than a hundred years our school has been at the heart of a close village community. Unique to our school is our strong team of passionate, caring staff: many of whom have been at the school for a number of years. We are in essence a big family, but we have the warmth and feeling of a small school. Everyone knows and respects everyone else. Our children develop deep roots. We passionately believe in developing the whole child and giving them the secure foundations essential for them to be respectful, responsible, and resilient young adults who can thrive in an ever changing world.

Welwyn Garden City, UK

The LSA have been working hard to raise money and redevelop the schools outside area. We are currently aiming to raise £26,000 to fund new play equipment. Whilst our fundraising mission is a large part of the project we also require other items to help with the redevelopment of our outside space. We are in desperate need of some new sheds, outside storage and shed racking/storage. Any other equipment or items that could be used to improve our space, (railway slippers, bark, compost) Supports the educational needs of children at a small school. - General charitable purposes - Education - Children/young people - Provides buildings/facilities/open space
