How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, B&Q has donated products and volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The Farm Animal Sanctuary

Evesham, UK

Established over 30 years ago, The Farm Animal Sanctuary was the first of its kind in this country. We provide a safe haven for neglected and abused farm animals where they can live out the rest of their lives in comfort while receiving the special care and attention they need. The sanctuary was founded by Jan Taylor, after she witnessed the horrific reality of livestock markets around the country selling sick, malnourished, and frightened animals that were facing certain death or a lifetime of misery. Today we have over 600 happy residents, including sheep, cattle, pigs, ponies and horses, cats, dogs, ducks, geese, hens and cockerels, turkeys and alpacas! Our vital work would not be possible without your help. We welcome support through sponsorship, events, farm visit and donations. The donations received by B&Q through the Community Reuse Programme would be used to keep the sanctuary in good condition for the animals and visitors alike, with the DIY goods enabling repairs and improvements.
