Since 1964, The William Scott Abbott Trust has proudly managed Sacrewell, a welcoming family farm dedicated to teaching visitors about where their food comes from, fostering a love for the countryside, and inspiring outdoor exploration and play. At Sacrewell, we care for a variety of animals, demonstrating the delicate balance between farming and wildlife in rural England. Visitors have the opportunity to connect with our animals and experience the great outdoors first-hand. Every penny raised is reinvested into the upkeep of the farm, the care of our livestock, the preservation of our heritage buildings, and the promotion of countryside learning. Your support is vital in helping us preserve our heritage and mission for generations to come. Your generosity directly enables us to: - Provide Enrichment for Animals Supply fresh treats, toys, and enrichment activities to ensure the happiness and well-being of our animals. -[Fund Educational Resources Create engaging materials and programs that inspire future agricultural enthusiasts. - Preserve Heritage Buildings Maintain and protect historic structures like Sacrewell Mill to keep history alive and accessible. - Improve Animal Welfare Build new shelters and upgrade enclosures, creating safe and natural living spaces for our animals year-round. To continue our work, we also seek support for: - Materials and Tools for Site Maintenance Items like paving slabs, wood, sawdust, outdoor paint, and tools for groundskeeping, along with enrichment materials like IBC tanks and plastic barrels for our animals. - Gardening Equipment and Materials Essential tools including outdoor brooms, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and materials like plants, fruit, vegetable and herbs seeds, and compost for areas like our Sensory Garden, which combines well-being and agricultural education. - Volunteer Support Resources Resources to keep our incredible volunteers safe and supported, including gloves, high-visibility vests, garden kneelers, and first aid supplies. - Kitchen Area Update We aim to modernize our kitchen with new cupboards and countertops, ensuring a functional and welcoming space for our team and visitors. Families First Peterborough CIC works with children, families and young people in Bretton, Peterborough many of whom are economically disadvantaged. We are always looking for support to enable us to sustain the free services that we deliver from our base.  We work with children and young people from low-income families, who are experiencing a variety of challenges including, additional needs, obesity, isolation & loneliness, mental ill-health and social exclusion. Some are care leavers and asylum seekers. Through our services, which include, youth work, open access play sessions, school holiday activities, community events, free family fun days and small group work, we support children and young people at Crofts Corner. Our sessions include free meals and we also have been involved in delivering food parcels to the vulnerable. Any food donations would be welcome. It would also be great if we could access anything additional to support children, youth and families. For example, any toiletries for us to promote good hygiene, Christmas gifts or help towards Christmas celebrations/ Christmas meals, Easter eggs, and teaching of skills you can provide for our youth over Summer or at our regular youth clubs, contribution towards family fun days for inflatables hire and any contribution towards play equipment for our large playground that needs updating.

Rutland Community Fridges have been running sine October 2020. With 4 locations in Oakham and Uppingham and Greetham, we operate for approx 6 hours a week. We have regular contact with around 70 families each week and have saved over 35 tonnes of food to date July 2024. We are looking to refurbish the Community room that our Oakham Community fridge is situated and would be happy to accept donations of paint and other decorating materials from the B&Q Community Reuse Programme.
