Our vision is a community where food is valued, not wasted. Our mission is to redistribute food and promote food waste reduction for environmental and social good. Since April 2016, we have collected good surplus food from supermarkets, manufacturers and farms and shared it with local charities and community groups, saving them money so they can do more. Our community partners support the homeless, the old, the vulnerable and those on low incomes. We also support community Foodshare Tables and Fridges where everyone is welcome to collect a few bags of food to help stop food waste and stretch household budgets. Any donation you can make will enable us to train new volunteers, pay for fuel for our charity van, buy in additional surplus from FareShare to supplement the food we collect to nourish our community. The League of Friends aims to improve and maintain an exemplary quality of patient care at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH). The Friends gives essential support for patients, relatives and staff by providing services, organising volunteers, funding equipment, issuing grants and supporting wellbeing for RJAH. We are unique in our network of fund-raising branches, based in the towns and villages of Shropshire, Mid and North Wales. From providing toothbrushes to funding an endoscopic surgical kit, we are at the heart of RJAH, as a good friend should be. Together our staff, volunteers and trustees do all they can to support, enhance and improve.

We are looking to create a mindful safe space for students to use when they need some time out in a calm, peaceful space. We also are looking into using the space to aid education across various subjects within our setting to ensure we are fully embracing our green spaces. Exploring both plant and animal life in our green spaces and doing our bit for climate change will also fit into our brief. Our school are also looking to create a beautiful orchard to allow us to become more sustainable as well as increasing the proportion of woodland/forest area on site. As well as this we are always looking at ways to further support our school and local community. We offer a breakfast club on site every morning but are always looking at ways to support those students and their families who are struggling. We are aware some schools have started their own internal foodbank type setups and it would be great to have our own Grove based support that we could tailor to those students and families that need it the most.
