How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, B&Q has donated products and volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Holly Hill Church School

Birmingham, UK

We are a small Church school looking for donations to help improve our indoor and outdoor spaces. I would really like to improve our staff space, to help them relax during their lunch breaks, the area we have at the moment is a very dark space with old and ruined furniture and drab kitchen cupboards. We would also love any donations of paint, wallpaper, cabinets, worktops, indoor and outdoor plants, rugs or wood. We are very grateful for anything that can be sent our way to help improve these spaces. We serve the local community by offering wellbeing support, coffee mornings, food bank referrals, educational psychologist support, workshops, pastoral drop-in sessions, free school uniform, shoes and coats, and food from our school pantry. As a Methodist and Church of England school we have regular visits from Vicars and Reverends. We also open the school up in the holidays to the Half Term Activity and Food clubs through a company called Little Monkeyz which offers the clubs to the local community who are eligible for Free School Meals.
