We are a Voluntary group who rely solely on donations. We have our main benefactor who pays in £2500 per month plus a couple of other small donations. Surplus food or food donations are very much appreciated. Our aim is to help both families and Single people who have no work or prove they are really struggling. we try to provide 5 meals a week for average family. We are putting out 200 - 250 plus packages per month and this can some month be difficult to do on the finance we have plus being affected by the rising cost of food.

Snowdonia donkeys was established in 2013 to promote health and well-being through working and walking with donkeys in the local environment of North Wales. It is our mission to be a centre of excellence of health and wellbeing for people and donkeys. We are working towards this by providing a variety of opportunities for people to interact with our donkeys including 1:1 and small group donkey assisted activities for young people who need support with communication and social interaction and adults with mental health problems. We provide retraining and rehoming for local donkeys, as well as a support network and training programme for local donkey owners. Our work placement opportunities are offered to students studying courses at GCSE level through to postgraduates in subjects including animal management and psychology. We have an extended network of volunteers who help us with practical tasks as well as fundraising. We organise regular practical conservation days for our volunteers as well as hosting public events and open days. Our volunteer knitters support is remotely by making knitted donkeys for us to sell. At the farm here we are based we currently have 11 donkeys. Some of our donkeys are included in our 'Sponsor a Donkey' scheme.

We're a group of volunteers who set up a community group in 2021, to improve local amenities in our community. Maestryfan is a socially disadvantaged area, and all our fundraising efforts have been via successful grant applications, or donations. We have been fortunate enough to access grants from the National Lottery, Cist Gwynedd, Adra (Housing Association), the Coop, Arnold Clark etc to refurbish our outdated children's park equipment to make it fit for purpose for children's activities in 2025. We also obtained a Welsh Government grant to create a beautiful community garden from a piece of wasteland, used by dog-owners for fouling and drug dealers. We have been fortunate to receive donations from Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, North Wales Recovery Service, Llanberis Pentref Taclus / Tidy Village, other local groups and businesses. Their generosity donating time, resources etc has been invaluable in getting where we are today. We organize regular community events for the children, families, older adults and the whole community! We organize We organize a gardening club, and provide supported sessions for disabled adults, and work with a local special school to provide work experience in the garden. Other local young people and groups use the garden for work experience, skill development and nature-based wellbeing sessions.! We organize social events to build community relationships, e.g. a monthly Bingo club, events such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter and summer parties/ fetes etc. We have shared Christmas and Easter hampers when we have had funds to do so, with vulnerable families and older people in our community. Our aim is to build a sense of community cohesion, needed in an area where there is no central indoor focus point. We work with the local authority, city council, schools, third sector and private businesses to get the best for our community. We are grateful to our fantastic community for their support. We are the only community in Bangor that doesn't have its own community centre, so the children's park and community are treasured assets. When we need to organise indoor events, we use a neighbouring ward's community centre, or any available suitable premises. We are calling for own place - we know that's what the people of Maestryfan want. We share our work on Facebook, and also a local papur bro (local community paper) called Goriad, occasionally on other social media such as the Bangor Aye. We are a constituted community group, with a constitution and a bank account, and completely reliant on volunteers. We are mindful that this success needs to be maintained, and that can only be achieved by continuous work trying to get more volunteers and ensuring a constant supply of funds.
