B&Q Sutton-In-Ashfield

We are a non-profit Community Investment Company based in Shirebrook, near Mansfield Nottinghamshire. The group is run by 3 directors and a group of local ambassadors. Our aim is to improve the local community and surrounding areas by creating the conditions that allow people to come together to help and support one another. We run a Community Fridge - which is open every week day in our community venue called The Hole in the Wall. We also run a variety of activities and events throughput the year. All profits are invested back into both pre-existing and new initiatives/events. We have further ambitions to deliver on wider, community-based initiatives, that are derived from extensive research and have been co-designed with the local community, service partners and local businesses alike. Our centre opens 4 days a week and offers support to all of our local community, and is available to anyone without the need for a referral. We work tirelessly to tackle food waste and provide food, non food items, support and access to services to all. We offer surplus food, free of any charges (membership fees etc) to ANYONE within the community and aim to support those most in need. Hot meals are supplied 3 days a week and non perishable emergency food parcels are provided to those in need and we NEVER ASK QUESTIONS... Our goal is simple: 1. To tackle food waste 2. To ensure that EVERYONE has what they need Our services are available to the whole community without prejudice and we are committed to helping those in need- regardless of circumstance. We are a fully inclusive centre and pride ourselves on equality. We are fully volunteer run and have an amazing team on hand, ready and willing to do everything possible to provide help, support and safety for all

Brinsley Food Bank is a non-profit community group helping people who are suffering from financial difficulties by providing food parcels. We are based at the Parish Hall, Cordy Lane, Brinsley and are open every Wednesday from 10am til 11.30 for residents to collect food parcels. We cover Brinsley, Underwood, Jacksdale and Westwood.
