B&Q Chesterfield

We are a non-profit Community Investment Company based in Shirebrook, near Mansfield Nottinghamshire. Our group is volunteer led involving a range of people that live in and around Shirebrook.. Our aim is to improve the local community and surrounding areas by creating the conditions that allow people to come together to help and support one another. We support some of the most disadvantaged families in Shirebrook via our food projects and also pass on household items to people in need. We run a Community Fridge - which is based in our community venue called The Hole in the Wall. All our food donations go into here and get shared out during our open sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. This is open to all. Please call in if you haven't already :) We also run a variety of activities and events throughput the year too, as well as our regular crafty chat group on Mondays, tea & toast group on Tuesdays and our art group on Fridays. All profits are invested back into both pre-existing and new initiatives. We have further ambitions to deliver on wider, community-based initiatives, that are derived from extensive research and have been co-designed with the local community, service partners and local businesses alike. We are a Primary School in Swanwick, Derbyshire. We are working on improving our school site for our pupils today and in the future. We have a fabulous team of school staff with a passion for improving the site and providing opportunities for the children to learn and play outdoors. We have a great outdoor space which we are continually developing to the best of our abilities within the constraints of the funding available. We rely heavily on sponsorship and support from our local community, without this we could not continue to develop and improve the site or provide the outdoor learning and fun we are striving to achieve to all our children. We would eagerly appreciate any support with garden products, plants, shrubs, seeds, trees, wood, wood stain, tools, and other structural supplies, and supplies for our forest school area, children's outdoor clothing. We would also appreciate supply to help with the maintenance and redecoration of our school such as paint, decorating equipment, tiles. Thank you for considering our school.

We are a membership only community project fighting food poverty in chesterfield. Before the lockdowns, we were a community café helping disadvantaged and vulnerable people get a warm, healthy meal. During the lockdown, we delivered in excess of 10,000 food parcels to frontline workers, vulnerable and shielding people and everybody else who needed our help.
