B&Q Kirkcaldy

Redemption House provides food, clothing and advice to those in need for the relief of the poor. Situated in Kirkcaldy Fife, it reaches out to Buckhaven, Methil and Leven. The project will not only bring people together in a safe place and provide them with something to eat but also arrange for individuals to take food home for their families too. Counselling is offered by an experienced care co-ordinator who can signpost rough sleepers to shelters in the area to ensure they have a roof over their heads. This food hub is unique in Kirkcaldy in that it is open during the day in the week. This will enable more people to benefit from the service and support families who are on tight budgets and are keen to provide healthy food options for their children.

Our charitable objects are 5.1 to relieve the needs of individuals with disabilities; 5.2 to advance education; 5.3 to promote equality and diversity. We achieve this through supporting people with severe and enduring mental health conditions to better self-manage their conditions and prepare for, enter and sustain paid employment (or other meaningful activities) We also hold a lease on Silverburn Park in Leven, Fife, where we deliver a wide range of community activities and are in the late stages of preparing for the renovation of the Park's B-listed former flax mill to become a community hub and visitor centre. In the lead up to this, we have opened a small cafe on a takeaway basis and a campsite with 3 glamping pods, 12 tent pitches and 4 campervan pitches. Our core work was recognised in 2019 when we won the Centre for Social Justice Award and our activities and impact are summarised in "William's Story" on the homepage of our website, www.fifeemploymentaccesstrust.com Our campsite was also recognised as "Scottish Campsite of the Year" for 2021 by the Prestige Series Awards

We are a group of parents and carers of children at Denend Primary School and Nursery in Cardenden Fife. We come together through our parent council and look for support of the community. We help give the kids and school the resources they need to learn and grow through our fundraising activities and donations. Will you join us in working towards that goal? You would make a huge impact on our ability to achieve our fundraising goals. I know things are tough just now for businesses and with the cost-of-living crisis, so any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated. We especially require food donations such as healthy snacks, crisps, juice, sandwiches, biscuits, cakes, sweets. These will be used at things such as school trips and social events . Also any resources that can help with outdoor play, health and wellbeing and sustainability.
