At Glasgow North West Foodbank we care deeply for people, supplying three days of nutritionally-balanced food for those in need, along with toiletries, pet food and more. We are referral-based and work with well over 200 agencies not only help with food poverty but to solve the problems that left people destitute. At Christmas, we go all out supplying everything that would be needed, not just because of charity but simply because it is the right thing to do. After all, that's what Christmas is all about. We look for any donations that would help with our project to give people comfort and support mental health and everyday living. We couldn't run so well without the generosity and support of the people we meet. Any help is appreciated.

Lambhill Stables is a safe, inspiring community hub improving the North of the City for all. The organisation was formed in 2007 to benefit the community of Lambhill and surrounding neighbourhoods which comprises the postcode districts G20, G22 and G23. We work towards improving the quality of life for all ages and abilities by providing opportunities for learning new skills, taking part in creative and social activities and caring for the environment. Our main objectives are: (1) the advancement of community development (including the advancement of urban regeneration) within the community; (2) the prevention and relief of unemployment (3) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage (4) the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended (5) the advancement of citizenship (6) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement (7) the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science (8) any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes but only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.

The charitable purposes for which the company is established are the advancement of education and the relief of the needs of children, young persons, adults and families who are affected by disability by: (a) the relief of the needs of children, young persons (aged 5 to 19 years), adults (over 19 years) and families who, affected by disability, have special educational needs; (b) bringing those with disabilities together with their able bodied counterparts for safe, stimulating and supervised play and general social interaction to develop their own capacities, abilities and skills; (c) assisting children, young persons and adults through the provision of leisure time activities; providing a centre for classes, meetings, games and other forms of leisure time occupation; and (d) providing counselling, specialist treatment and rehabilitation of children, young persons and adults and their families. (e) the provision of mainstream nursery services and qualified nursery staff for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Buddies Clubs and Services was started in October 1994 by group of parents who had children affected by disability and who could not find any social outlets for their children. The organisation’s mission is to, both collaboratively and holistically, develop each child/young person’s self-esteem, empower each child/young person to explore/develop new skills, encourage the development of interpersonal skills and develop concentration and listening skills. It is important to us to develop solutions to find a place in the community where the most vulnerable and fragile peoples in our city can come together to develop their hopes and aspirations. Whilst our direct service delivery is for people affected by disabilities, we ensure that no one is left behind. We provide lifelong positive influences on our young people’s lives and their families. Compassion, integrity and equality are key. Through our services, we relieve the stress, financial burdens, stigma, shame, social isolation and promote each individual’s health and wellbeing. We are fully committed to promoting a collaborative, place-based approach with a shared purpose to support a clear way forward for all services, which will maximise the impact of the combined resources of the whole community. Our current services are: - 1. Sunday Club 2. After school clubs 4. Evening clubs 5. Holiday Clubs 6. Community outreach 7. Friday evening group outreach. 8. Adventure Breaks and Creative Breaks again with Children’s breaks and Adult breaks. We now offer breaks from 3 days to 5 days. 9. Mainstream Nursery supporting children aged 0-5 years We will use any and all items offered from donors towards improving the facilities that we are able to offer to the children, young people and families whom we support.
