We deliver a 7 day food parcel and hygiene products to people facing a financial or personnel crisis. The foodbank works on a referral system, working with local government agencies, social services, NHS, Citizen's Advice, Doctors and health workers, plus various addiction, debt and housing agencies. We provide a home delivery service, by doing so we are able to cover all areas of the Falkirk District. By delivering to people's homes not only helps to reduce stigma. It also means we can deliver larger food parcels along with Toiletries, Nappies, Baby Food and Pet Food. With the aim of making it look like a Supermarket delivery. When required, we also supply, new children's beds, new warm bedding, plus cooking items and basic household items. By working with local food producers, we are also able to help with food redistribution to other local charities. We need volunteers to help with deliveries and food sorting, making up food boxes, assisting with running activities during those mornings where we host school visits, and anyone with online and web skills who can assist with our site migration and upgrade.

Start Up Stirling is a registered charity serving Stirling in Central Scotland. We assist and support families and individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship by providing home starter and wellbeing packs, as well as running food banks rural crisis food support across the Stirling area. We help those in need in the following ways: - provide basic home set-up items to local people who have been homeless and are starting again in a new tenancy. These packs improve the chances of individuals and families of retaining their tenancy - help to reduce stress and financial burdens when moving from homelessness to a new home - provide items which help with the transition into temporary accommodation - promote and encourage a practical community response to homelessness and financial hardship - provide food packs at point of crisis and offer support for three weeks for those who are unable to access other forms of support - support for those experiencing housing difficulties and finding it hard to cope - we help them settle into the community, offer a listening ear and link them with other helpful agencies - offer volunteering opportunities for individuals from all corners of our community We train our volunteers regarding confidentiality, boundaries and listening, and we provide ongoing support. All we ask is that you are willing to participate in the training, and be willing to listen, share, laugh and be a friend. :) We are always looking for volunteers and have a number of different roles - driving, warehouse, foodbanks, rural deliveries, support services, fundraising, office support and wee projects. In addition we always need additional manpower around the festive period.

Cultivated by a group of volunteers, Tullibody Community Garden helps people gain valuable horticultural skills, growing fresh produce for sale at realistic prices, to encourage local people to create fresh, healthy dishes. Our volunteers bring to bear a wide range of skills - some have no vegetable gardening experience at all, while other have experience as amateurs or professional gardeners. Many of them are unemployed. Volunteering helps them in a number of ways, boosting confidence, getting them out of the house, and keeping them physically active. It’s also a great opportunity for each individual to make use of their own knowledge and skills. The garden engages the community in other ways, taking the growing message out into schools and homes. Orchard trees have been planted at four local primary schools and a family centre, and are cared for by garden volunteers, and art students at the local secondary school took part in a logo design competition. The garden has also given out ‘grow your own potatoes’ packs to help people get growing at home.
