Haltwhistle Little Star - Enriching Environment
Haltwhistle, UK
We are looking to make a more enriching environment for our over 2 years olds, using natural materials and low level storage, which will make the children as independent as possible. Small, language friendly spaces will encourage children to be curious and learn and interact together, which will also develop their speech and language and personal, social and emotional development. The children will have a sense of belonging through choosing the new materials we hope to get. We will use Loose parts play to develop the children's fine motor skills. Through having an enriching environment this will help to develop the children and help them have the best possible start and transition into school well. Though having open ended resources, children will be able to learn different skills and learn in their preferred way. We would like to purchase: 1. Low level storage for the children to access independently 2. Wooden number blocks for maths development 3. Natural materials such as stones, shells, etc 4. Light box 5. Baskets to keep resources in
