fly2help is an aviation charity based at Gloucestershire Airport in Cheltenham. The charity was set up 15 years ago by passionate aviators, who were keen to share the wonder of flight with those in need. fly2help runs two charitable programmes; Air Smiles Days and our Aim High programme. Air Smiles Days support individuals and families facing challenging life circumstances by offering the opportunity for an experience day centred around a flight in a light aircraft and other aviation based activities. fly2help works closely with a number of charities and receives nominations from the public, or are approached by individuals themselves. We offer a bespoke experience that ensures our activities match the needs of our beneficiaries to create the greatest impact and memories that will last a lifetime. Our Aim High programmes complement this aim, reaching out to all children and young people between 5 and 18 years of age, providing opportunities within the aviation and aerospace sector that are accessible, inclusive and diverse. Our programmes and events inspire children and young adults with a passion and enthusiasm for aviation, whether as a career choice or for personal fulfilment, not only learning about all the potential careers within the sector but by being immersed in the world of aviation, through online learning events, behind the scenes visits to the airport, flying experiences, chats with aviation professionals, meeting our Travelling Airport at their schools and so much more. Aim High is a complete package of programmes that uses aviation to inspire, motivate and support young people in their educational, personal and future professional lives, building confidence, self esteem and supporting their well being through on-going engagement and mentoring schemes. Our programmes are a catalyst that create positive changes in people's attitudes and life. The opportunity to experience the liberation and freedom of flight, or learn more about how aviation can inspire future lives and careers, all this can inspire, develop imagination and stretch personal boundaries, helping individuals to discover new benefits through renewed self-determination. fly2help relies solely on the goodwill of the general public and corporate donations in order to carry out it's work. Therefore, this campaign is really important to us in raising funds and awareness of the charity. Please give what you can and donate - all your help is greatly appreciated and really does go a long way here at fly2help.
