We are the only centre of its kind in the whole of the UK that provides a range of tangible services and emotional support to young adults and people with muscular dystrophy, as well as their families and carers. We provide physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, supported training and employment opportunities as well as information, advice and support services. The cost of running these services is £975,000 a year and we receive no government funding and so rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and various fundraising events throughout the year. We only have a small fundraising team and without the help of our wonderful volunteers we wouldn’t be able to take part in such events and raise vital funds to continue supporting the need of people with muscular dystrophy from across Cheshire and beyond.
