Our services provide people living with dementia a lifeline at a very difficult time of their lives. We have a dementia support service that provide emotional and practical advice on dealing with everyday challenges. This could be advice on the disease, helping to get respite or offering advice on care homes. We have two dementia cafes in Dudley and one in Wolverhampton and these provide peer support for carers and people with dementia. We have one of our dementia support workers there and invite relevant guests to talk about services. We even have a sing song which our clients really enjoy. In Dudley we have a Home Support Service which provides personal care and respite for three hours a week, or more if needed. Our trained staff go into peoples homes and either take them out or sit with them while the carer has a break.
