Richard House Children's Hospice

We offer care and support to children and young people who are at risk of death because of a life-limiting or life-threatening health condition. Our purpose-built hospice is in Beckton, East London and we accept referrals from families across the capital with the majority living in Newham, City and Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Barking and Dagenham and Waltham Forest. When we opened in 2000, we were the first children’s hospice in London and we cared for just a handful of children and young people. Today, we have over 300 on our books. We support children and young adults through clinical care, short breaks and other residential services, while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. Our focus is on living for today and creating positive memories for tomorrow, with inspiring activities for all the family to enjoy.
