How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, B&Q has donated money, products and volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Hope soap Ministries UK

Derby, UK

We are an independent Christian Ministries in Derby, running for more than 20 years. We are in need of surplus food and we are in desperate need of any food available in our local Derby area, from shops, businesses, local donators, etc...for the many, many people that are dependent upon us. Also, Any donations of soaps, toiletries, cosmetics, creams, gift items, gloves, hats, confectionery, chocolates, etc...will be greatly appreciated and will help many people, in many of the places we visit...Candles and hot water bottles needed also. We are an independent Christian Ministry, in Derby UK. We make 'Hope soaps' and other natural products to give out to people in need. We minister in our home town and surrounding areas, as well as traveling (When we are able) to other towns in the UK. Eventually we will be expanding our ministry over seas...God willing. We visit: Hospitals, homes for the elderly, courts, prisons, Prison families, nursery schools, needy families, hostels, widows, orphans, bereaved, street handouts and more...where ever the LORD directs us. Our aim is to "Give hope with our soap" by freely giving out random acts of kindness to thousands of people and administering to them the gospel of hope and salvation. Our beautiful soaps wash and cleanse the body, but only the saving blood of Christ can wash and cleanse the soul. We pray that each person that visits our page will find peace and everlasting life with God the creator. "Any donations of soaps, toiletries, cosmetics, creams, gift items, gloves, hats, confectionery, chocolates, etc...will be greatly appreciated and will help many people, in many of the places we visit". We do not charge for any of our handouts to people and never have. Everything we give to people is totally free to them. AMELIA AND MARIA. (Founders and hope soap missionaries). Our little ministry remains the same as always and we have been with Lidl Normanton for more than two years now and remain faithful to them. They remain our only store and we do not receive a lot and often struggle for food to give out. Answers: *We work from the same private address as always. *We continue to serve the same clubs and locals in our community as we always have. *Food is distributed out by ourselves and volunteers straight away and a club collects also straight from us each week. *We do not charge or accept donations. *Lidl Normanton only shop we collect from, no other shops. *We do not contact press...people do not like the attention.* *We do not take photos of people. *We have no partnerships, although we have helped in the past different local organisations and we know many of them personally. *We haven't any up to date media. We are not loud or flashy as far as media and photos, etc, but we are loyal and people depend on us weekly and have done for many years and we work hard, for free, to look after the people we care for, We have a couple, called Jim and Jill, who belong to the local eld
