YMCA Burton Food Bank
Burton-on-Trent, UK
We run a busy community foodbank where we provide emergency food parcels to members of our community in need. We believe that everyone deserves access to food and we' are committed to providing this service to anyone experiencing food poverty or in need. Our service is experiencing the biggest demand for food in our 21 year history and we are struggling to meet the current demand of between 250/300 parcels per month. Over 1500 parcels issued in the first 5 months of 2022. Each food parcel contains 28 items, with a value of £24.46. We seek donations of tinned food, including potatoes, pies, peas, chopped tomatoes, fruit, vegetables. We also welcome donations of instant noodles, pasta, pasta sauce, coffee, tea, cereal, sugar and jam. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to accept fresh food donations. Support us by sharing our project and raising awareness of this service, donating food items or monetary donations for this service. We are here for anyone in need. Thanks paula.senior@burtonymca.org
