Your gift will help Blue Cross provide urgent treatment and find new homes for more vulnerable pets this Christmas. We find homes for unwanted cats, dogs, small pets and horses across the UK and our tailor-made service means we help each pet find the right person for them.

For families in Dorset and Wiltshire, Julia’s House is the only place mums and dads can turn to for respite day-to-day. Juggle the demands of everyday life with round-the-clock care is an exhausting job – without our regular support, many families simply would not cope. Our skilled and compassionate nurses provide frequent respite, often every week – up to six hours when the burden of care is completely lifted from families. Mums, dads and siblings take precious time out to recharge, while the poorly child has fun through therapies (such as play, music and art) or an outing, or simply has a chance to relax. And at the end, if a family faces the devastating news that their child will soon die, Julia’s House is the only hospice that lets parents choose where they spend those final precious hours or days: in the comfort of their home or at our hospice where so many happy moments have been shared. With just 6% of funding coming from the Government, we rely on the support of our local community every year. Our team is at full stretch, and we need support to help us recruit more nurses and reach more families who need us.
