The Brain Charity

Liverpool, UK

The Brain Charity supports people living with all forms of neurological conditions to live longer, healthier, happier lives. We provide information and practical advice, emotional support and social activities. There are over 600 known neurological conditions, which affect the brain, spine and nervous system. Some are well-known, such as stroke, dementia and Parkinson's. Others are much rarer, affecting only a few people; being diagnosed with one of these conditions, like Alice in Wonderland syndrome, can be isolating and scary. Some people are born with their condition, while others develop over time. Some can come completely out of the blue, like a traumatic brain injury, and change a person's life as they know it. 1 in 6 people in the UK live with a neurological condition. The Brain Charity is the only organisation in the UK to support people living with every single neurological condition, their families, friends and carers.
