Amaze is your local charity who provide vital support and connection for families with disabled children and young people in Sussex. To help our community, we need your support. Every pound you raise for Amaze helps children and young people living with disability to thrive. You’ll be helping friends, neighbours and people you know access expert advice, practical support and a community of other families with similar experiences. It costs three times as much to raise a child with disability. In Brighton & Hove and East Sussex, 1 in 6 families deal with the daily challenges of supporting a child with a disability or special educational needs (SEND). Amaze is unique, in that you don’t need a formal diagnosis of a disability to benefit from our support. With your help, we can be there for local people offering connection, understanding and an expert hand to guide them through the maze of new challenges they face.

Starting life as the Women's Refuge Project in 1994, we work tirelessly towards our vision of Freedom from Domestic Abuse. We work alongside survivors to help them develop their resilience and rebuild safer lives. Our practical help ranges from direct advice to refuge space for those in urgent need. We also teach school children about healthy relationships to prevent the next generation from repeating the pattern. Known for breaking new ground, our specialist LGB&T* service for survivors of domestic abuse was the first in England. Every year we support over 1800 women and their families to recover and reclaim their lives.
