Our chosen charity is The Firefighters Charity - the UK's leading provider of services which enhance quality of life for serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families, supporting people in the fire and rescue community when they are in need. Over the years, the charity has helped hundreds of thousands of individuals by providing world-class treatment and support services. It costs over £9 million per year to keep the charity running and they are completely reliant upon donations and fundraising, so your support is very much needed.

The role of a firefighter is one of bravery, loyalty and devotion to public service. Just like firefighters, we are passionate about our work and the services we provide to the men and women who risk their lives to save ours. We have three centres in Cumbria, West Sussex and Devon which offer a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation and recuperation to members of the fire and rescue community in times of need.

The charity is run by one very loving lady, Shirley. She and her volunteers care for over a hundred rabbits, cats, birds and other small unwanted, abandoned animals and pets. Their goal is to get them back on their feet and adopted to a loving new family.
