We were able to spend 3 days in hospital with him, in a special bereavement suite. Though the hospital had no memory making activities at that time, we were able to spend time creating our own memories. We gave Finley the gift of a teddy bear, as I noticed after 2 days that no one had brought him one, he was wrapped in the cosiest, fluffiest blanket I could find as he felt so cold. I gave Finley a crystal bracelet that matched mine, and I kept a lock of his hair. We captured his footprints in a clay casting kit and bathed him in essential oils. I can never describe adequately just how difficult it was to walk out of hospital without my son, but the videos, photographs and clothes that he wore, as well as the keepsakes we created have become some of my most treasured possessions. I am proud that we can bring this comfort to other families (approximately 290 per year) Please support us by sharing as much as you can.
