Grief Encounter is a leading UK charity, dedicated to supporting children, young people, and their families following the death of someone close. Through a range of tailored therapies, we provide emotional and practical assistance, helping navigate the challenges of bereavement in childhood. Grief Encounter offers a safe space for open conversations and healing, offering face-to-face counselling, practical online resources, a helpline, group workshops, educational training, family residentials and more. Our mission is that no child is left to grieve alone. Our qualified clinical team offer face-face and online therapeutic services, including grieftalk national helpline, open weekdays, 9am – 9pm which can be reached on 0808 802 0111 or via grieftalk@griefencounter.org.uk. Our unique Family Programme, offered remotely and in person, includes tailored care plans to the individual that will include 1:1 counselling, e-counselling, online workshops, creative therapies and more. With no government funding available to us, we rely solely on private donations to fund our £2 million running costs, supporting over 6500 individuals annually.

Mind in Harrow is affiliated to National Mind, the leading mental health charity. Here in Harrow we support people who experience emotional distress through providing the highest quality services, campaigning to improve services, education to challenge stigma and ensuring the views of those with mental health difficulties are heard and acted upon by decision makers. We currently employ a team of 20 staff and have the support of 60 volunteers. Mind in Harrow is committed to providing the highest quality community mental health services, which anticipate, meet and exceed the expectations of service users, workers and other stakeholders. As a Local Mind Association (LMA), the quality of our services are assured through Quality Management in Mind (QMiM) standards, assessment and continuous improvement plans. We want our development to be driven by the needs and experiences of mental health service users and are active supporters of the Harrow User Group. We are committed to reflecting the diversity of Harrow's communities in all our activities.
