MedEquip4Kids

Manchester, UK

Help us ensure that every child has access to the best medical care when they need it most! Choose to support MedEquip4Kids MedEquip4Kids improves the health of children and babies in the North West by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. We believe every child should have access to the best medical care when they need it most. We provide lifesaving paediatric medical equipment, play facilities in hospitals to calm and distract anxious children, specialised equipment to give disabled children a better quality of life, and resources to improve children’s mental health. We also run The Hummingbird Project, a mental health intervention for students in secondary school. The Project aims to make a real, measurable difference to young people’s emotional wellbeing through an eight-week programme delivered in schools which covers different aspects of mental health. It will help young people and school staff to become more aware of the early warning signs and alleviate some of the pressure on mainstream services.

Lighthouse Project

Manchester, UK

The Lighthouse Project is a vibrant community hub which welcomes and supports people so that they can advance in life and achieve... through a wide range of activities we inspire and encourage individuals to get the best out of life and their situation. We work in collaboration with many other groups and organisations to offer a wide range of services and activities that people can make use of to improve or change their life situations. We work to build up our community by building up the individuals who make up the community. Our funding ask is towards the whole of our annual budget for running the Lighthouse Project, this pays £50k for rent and running, and £100k for 4 staff. We have around 30,000 visits to the centre each year and run a whole array of activities 5 days a week. We are open to smaller or regular donations to help us towards the total amount.
