A place that feels like home
Manchester, UK
Established in 1994, Mustard Tree exists to combat poverty and prevent homelessness. Being homeless is about much more than not having a roof above your head, and many of the people we work with have complex needs. We provide support with housing, advocacy, counselling, food provision and classes to enable vulnerable people to get back into work or education. In April, we will open our renovated Head Office in Ancoats, enabling the charity to transform the lives of more profoundly disadvantaged people in Greater Manchester. We will offer diverse support to local people trapped in the cycle of poverty and disadvantage, from emergency food provision to getting work ready. A key priority for Mustard Tree is to ensure the building is warm and welcoming, enabling people from the local community to interact with their peers and build their confidence. To do this we will need new fixtures and fittings, soft furnishings including rugs, furniture, cushions, artwork and IT equipment. With your help we can create a welcoming, safe and secure environment for all who seek support at Mustard Tree.
