At Stonewall, we stand for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people everywhere. We imagine a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be themselves and we can live our lives to the full. We are part of a vibrant global movement for change made up of LGBTQ+ people, our allies, families and friends. Since day one, we've fought for freedom, for equity and for potential. Over the last 30 years, we have helped create transformative change in the lives of LGBTQ+ people in the UK. Today, we have equal rights to love, marry and have children, and our lives, families and relationships are represented as part of the national curriculum in most of the UK.

At Oasis Playspace, we hope to offer a range of activities for children and families that can stimulate learning, encourage healthy relationships and families, as well as facilitate building social and support networks. The playspace is a fully equipped children’s centre situated in Lambeth, with indoor and outdoor space, masses of toys and activities to keep everyone entertained. Our activities target specific needs for children and/or adults (such as sensory development and play for children with disability, parenting classes, mental health support groups), as well as provide more general activities such as fitness classes, drop in play sessions etc). It’s home to the popular drop in stay and play Hullabaloo aimed a preschool children, their parents and carers and is also the host venue for the Oasis Academy after school clubs. (OA Johanna & Southbank). For some time now the centre has been in need of replacing the currently dilapidated kitchen, re-painting the toilet area and ‘sprucing’ up the outdoor area with plants and flowers etc. Offers of volunteer help and funding will help realise this dream!

Oasis provides "one-stop shops" designed to deliver community led integrated health solutions to people living in and around the Waterloo area. We're building on Oasis’ strengths of working with communities, including those particularly marginalised and those in crisis and also by working in partnership with both statutory and other voluntary providers. Our hub offers a range of integrated and holistic services with emphasis on improving the health and well-being of young people across the breadth of the wider determinants of health. Some of our services may include: advice, counselling and support around alcoholic abuse, drugs abuse (illicit and subscription), smoking, nutrition/weight loss/obesity/eating disorders, relationship addictions, gambling, depression, self-harm, relationships and debt advice. We're setting up a community café for young people and the wider community, a space where they can come together and socialise in a relaxing environment. To help reduce the day to day costs needed to run a café, our local Starbucks is donating coffee and other essential supplies towards the Oasis Hub Waterloo community café.
