We want to set up a mobile toy library, to visit the most deprived areas of our community. A small centre at the heart of the Walthamstow community we currently provides a unique place for children and families to play, learn and interact. We aim to: - Support children aged under five to learn and develop - Promote bonding and attachment between children and their parents or carers - Reduce isolation and help parents to develop supportive social networks - Promote the health and well-being of children and families - Enable access to our services from all sections of our local community particularly those on a low incomes To do this we run daily high-quality, structured play sessions led by experienced play workers, based around the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We also run special sessions for twins and other multiple births, babies under 18 months old and young children with special needs. We would like to get out and about so that more families can take advantage of the toys and equipment that we have to offer.

London's first new Air Cadet unit in over 40 years. Set up in response to the 2011 London Riots, 31 (Tower Hamlets) Sqn is providing unparalleled opportunities to the youth of Tower Hamlets and quickly forming a class of its own. Recognised by the Prime Minister in his Big Society Award, the unit is "giving young people wings." Funding from this programme will finance welfare projects for the cadets. A Christmas fun night and Squadron clothing they can be proud to wear.
