Rethink Mental Illness

Walsall, UK

Across England, we support 60,000 people a year through crises, helping them to live independently and realise they are not alone. Advice and information When mental illness first hits you or your family, it can be hard to know who or what to trust. We provide expert, accredited advice and information to everyone affected by mental health problems, and give people clear, relevant information on everything from treatment and care, to benefits and employment rights. Services and groups We have over 200 mental health services and 150 support groups across England. From psychological therapies and Crisis and Recovery Houses to peer support groups and housing services, we directly help thousands of people a year, all over the country. Over 90% of our service users say they are respected, listened to, and get the right kind of support. Campaigning We campaign nationally for policy change, and locally for the support people need. We have successfully changed the law to improve life for millions of people with mental health problems, and we are changing public attitudes through the Time to Change campaign, in partnership with Mind.

Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children

Cannock, UK

Newlife is a national charity working at a local level in every county of the UK to change the lives of children with disabilities or terminal illness. We do this predominantly through provision of essential equipment, such as wheelchairs, specialist beds and car seats to children who would otherwise go without. Our professional nurse service team provide key information, support and a caring voice when families need it most. We also help families play together with our Play Therapy Pods and create enduring family memories through our Comfort Capsules. We need your help because there are children in your county waiting for equipment that will change their lives. Some of these children have a terminal illness and may face a long wait for equipment. We are experiencing record demand for help from families and we can't do it without you. We guarantee that 100% of every donation or fund-raised amount is spent on changing lives, not a penny on our running costs. Visit www.newlifecharity.co.uk for further information or to see the need in your county today.
